I understand the need for a sponsor but the Tour of Utah should be called what it is, The Tour of Larry Miller properties. It gets a little ridiculous when the riders go around a motorcar race track eight times because the sponsor owns it. It would be nice to see St. George/Zion, Logan and Moab routes added to the tour, actually making it a true Tour of Utah.

Try the petite sirah from Lucas & Lewellen (Solvang)best in California. Sales of pinot noir rose 15% after "Sideways" but merlot and cabernet sauvignon are better in the warm climate.

For a fascinating journalism story check out the Santa Barbara News-Press. The owner, Wendy McCaw won the paper in a divorce settlement and promptly fired six editors and the chief columnist...their offense ? Publishing a DUI story involving Wendy`s best friend.

The terminated people all won "Ethics in Journalism" awards. The lawsuits surrounding this are a cottage industry.

Enjoy, RB
